What a wild ride last night was. Paul and I hit up Tranquility instead of doing good ol' trusty TacoRide. THOR needs to start charging riders to ride at Tranquility because it was like a wildlife safari tour! Twice there were deer crossing our paths. Also saw a rabbit a foot away that didn't care to move and multiple snakes. Then while decending the north side, we started hearing the sirens. As we climbed the South Hill, we were still hearing the sirens. We mentioned how they were going off for a long time. I looked east and saw the black smoke filling the colors of the sunset. Later that night, found out that the Maple view apartments were on fire!
After reading the article, three dozen apartments were affected. Wow. Not a laughing situation, but the quote by the resident that he was glad that he didn't pay rent yesterday cracks me up. You're a week late buddy!
