Redstone tip for the day. Ever have a cleat bolt come out or break? Replace your bottle cage bolts with cleat bolts and you'll always have 2 spares!
This came from by buddy in Lyons, CO Redstone Cyclery. Very good tip!
I bike, I photograph, I often times photograph while biking!
Haha I love the tip! Thanks. I actually thought about it later that day, I probably could have used a screw from my water bottle cage. It probably would have stuck out like a sore thumb
ReplyDeleteThere was a guy riding at Tranquility last night that broke his seatpost bolt just as he was starting to climb the inner loop hill. That's a large bolt and it was loud when it snapped.
ReplyDeleteGood tip from Lyons, CO., thanks Todd!
Seat pins/seatpost bolts are usually the same thread pitch as the adjuster bolt in the top cap of your stem, too. Since that bolt is only there for adjustment purposes, you could pull it out long enough to finish your ride seated. Make sure to put it back in the topcap, though :)
