Platte River State Park - Labor Day

Leading up to Labor Day weekend I rode Tranquility Thursday night. Saturday we made our way over to Iowa (boo) Manawa, we took turns there Cory and I went first, then we let the wives do their thing, as pictured above then can't even ride bicycles without wrecking.. ha ha. On Sunday had a birthday party (right next to Lewis & Clark) so of course my mind was working hmm.... how can I make the party but still get a lap in?? I made the wise decision and just went to the party. Had a great time played some football, got my T.O on - caught some nice TD passes. For Monday we were deciding between Jewell and Platte State Park, we decided to hit Platte since last time we were there was for an adventure race and the trails were all clogged up with teams. We made a day of it, invited the family packed up the trucks and off we went. We hit the trails and were slightly discouraged as we were carrying the bikes more than anticipated because of fallen trees (pic above). We did find some trails with some nice climbs and descents though, so made the ride worth while. After, we found a nice grilling spot and made up some hot dogs & burgers. Spent some time with family and friends. Also if anyone is looking for a starting quarterback, take a look at Alicia's perfect spiral. WOW!! We ended the day with a nice trail walk, overall a perfect weekend, spent time with family, friends, and our bikes. Only downfall was my Seminoles lost a tough game on Monday night.

  1. Todd, time to hop on that bandwagon and start liking those Huskers! Whose backside of the leg was all dirty? From a tire I presume?
